the face behind the foxes

Hi, I’m Sav, a teacher turned homeschool mom with three wonderful kiddos and a soft spot for early learners. I taught elementary school for years, and somewhere between lesson plans and staff meetings, I started making my own resources because I could never quite find what my students needed. That little side project slowly turned into a passion.

Now I’m at home teaching my own kids and still creating resources for other families and classrooms too. When I’m not working on creating resources, I’m usually making something with my hands: bookbinding, sewing, drawing, or dreaming up a new project.

Above all, I love God, and I’m thankful to use the gifts He’s given me - teaching, creating, encouraging - to quietly shine His light into the lives of families and teachers who land here.

the heart behind it all

My heart for Boxes of Foxes is simple: help families with meaningful resources that don’t require a ton of prep…or perfection.

I love creating things that can be:

  • A good “time filler” that still matters,

  • A quick activity that actually connects to what kids need to learn,

  • Something you can grab on a hard day and think, “Okay, I can do this much.”

But I don’t just care about the kids. So often, the parent or teacher doing all the planning gets forgotten.

I know a lot of the people who find this space aren’t trained teachers. They’re moms, dads, and caregivers who love their kids deeply and are just trying to do what’s best for them. I don’t want to tell you how to homeschool or teach. I’d rather come alongside you and keep reminding you why what you’re doing matters.

That’s why you’ll see things here that are just for you:

  • Short devotion-style reflections and little bits of “food for thought,”

  • Simple ways to rest and breathe in the middle of the chaos,

  • Organizers and tools to make life a bit easier, not more complicated.

My emails and resources are meant to be short, gentle, and doable. I don’t have time to read a long email, and I’m guessing you don’t either, so I try to send exactly what I’d want to receive: something small for your kids, and something small for you.

If you’re here, tired but still showing up for your kids, I’m really glad we found each other.
